RD 31 Jan 2019
On 13th November 2018 there was a fraud transaction from my ICICI account no. 002001557111 for Rs. 25000/- and the amount has been credited to one Mr. Prem Prakash, Bandhan Bank account no. 50170007028481 (IFSC Code: BDBL0001123, DEOGHAR). Immediately on the same day I visited nearest ICICI Kurla branch and blocked my ICICI bank account. And on 14.11.2018 I registered a written complaint at Kurla police station about the fraud transaction (copy enclosed for your ready reference).I am continually following with ICICI Customer care and I got following reply from ICICI Bank on 26th dec-18.“saying that vide Service Request Number SR577602186 they have received confirmation from team that OTP was sent to registered mobile number. The UPI registration is done using debit card details. For doing UPI transactions it requires MPIN. MPIN generation happens through debit card details and OTP on registered mobile number. So customer must have compromised debit card details in some way or other. In such a situation, bank is not liable to compensate the customer. Police assistance is required for further investigation. Please request the cm to follow up with police for further details. “On 27th Dec-18, again I went to police station and gave personal complaint on the above bank message (copy enclosed for your ready reference).Sir, I never shared my ICICI bank card details nor I received any OTP request to do the transaction. My humble request you to kindly look into the matter and help me to get my money back into my account.
