I had train ticket booked from ADI to MMCT on 5th August in train 12268. The train started from Rajkot. That particular day the train strated from Rajkot and terminated/cancelled at ADI and hence I couldn`t travel. The following day I sent mail to irctc to have clarity on refund issue as the refund rules didn`t specify the case in which train is partially cancelled and the passenger doesn`t board the train at all. Ideally the customer should get complete refund automatically as train was cancelled and we didn`t board the train only. But I am not getting proper support from Indian railways as they say that as per their records the train was diverted and not cancelled and I must file TDR. I had initially contacted care@irctc.co.in and when as advised by them I tried to file TDR I got only option for cancellation of ticket. Then they asked me contact eticket@irctc.co.in for this matter when I contacted them on Thursday they advsied TDR must be filed with 72 hours from departure time and the time has already crossed. I told them my train is cancelled and I must receive automatic refund. But they told that as per their records the train was diverted and not cancelled and hence I must file file TDR but this is not at all true and train was cancelled and I must get full refund automatically.
